I am watching whatever I can here in Munich - at the beginning of hostilities CNN got scrambled on ASTRA satellite (anybody to confirm?) so what remains for me is CNBC and (for instance) 1st and 2nd German channel. Nothing special or new from streets of Baghdad, except the webCAM shots of the traffic - cant say how old they are -. What's of interest, are the "unembedded" German reporters (from Baghdad and also, cant remember which, other places). See/watch

ard.de

through Babelfish.

what has been happening in Baghdad on the streets?

A steady parade of interviews with civilians, mostly women holding young children, standing on the streets with burning buildings behind them. They are crying and appealing to the entire Arab world to help them stop the 'evil invaders' from killing them.

Also, scenes of Iraqi military troops and regular citizens singing religious songs together and looking very happy.
