Hasn't anyone told you that the Financial Times is a VERY respectable source of information? Far, Far, FAR more respectable than "The Ottowa Citizen" that published your article written by the "embedded Canadian journalist"?

I see they think we're in a quagmire. The Brit and Euro press said the same things early on in the Afghan war and the first Iraq war. Keep reading.

Wow, that's even more clownish than your typical posts. One gets the impression you are unaware that we ARE in a quagmire in Afghanistan.
