I think FOX is successful because it is the only unabashedly right news network. Therefore, it is able to capture a much larger percentage of the 'news' viewership. FOX is also very innovative in their coverage. I think they pioneered the new multiscreen viewing (although it is sometimes hard to follow), and seem to be more willing to show 'raw' news. When I can choke down the right wing rantings, they have some good coverage...unfortunately, I can only take it in small doses. :)
