Allan Beaven was in the cockpit of a plane which he was in the process of retaking when it crashed in Pennsylvania. There's not much closer than that. Kiwi soldiers were in the mountains of Eastern Afghanistan in conflict with Al Q. That's as close as you get too. Kiwis were blown to bits in Bali which was a fairly direct contact too. We even get terrorists right here in Auckland; some Frog Men and Woman, directed by the French terrorist state of Mitterand, Hernu and co murdered a man on a Greenpeace boat [it's not really self-defence to kill Greenpeace people in the dead of night, while they are moored in a harbour - I call that cowardly murder].
