Sincere, yes. Credible, not really.

I would be interested to hear a thorough analysis of the Iraq situation, convincingly concluding that the best path of action for the American nation was/is an invasion of Iraq, starting with how different and singularly egregious threat Iraq is (compared to the myriad dictators, some of whom are far more powerful), and going on to making a case that the world will be a safer place for Americans after Iraq's invasion.

I have not yet seen any such analysis on SI. Most of what we see here is "Saddam is evil", "Poor little Iraqis" (who are currently resisting US & UK forces), etc. And some "He's got WMDs" (which we haven't been able to find a trace for, and anyway are in no way superior to the nukes in the hands of Pakistan, India, and North Korea, to name a few).

I cannot believe there has been no discussion in US media of how invasion of Iraq is in the interests of the American nation. Unreal.a
