And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one."

And what does this mean in real terms ? Do you ever stop to think about it at all ever ? Or is it just a collection of high-sounding words, you wave like a banner ? John's words were not just for you , nor was this idea first ever echo'ed in his mind or the mind of Jesus . They were spoken in just as meaningful and wise ways long before , and still are alive in eternal fellowship with Christianity , at least for the Christians that don't hide their heads in the sand and follow a path of tolerance.

That course in comparative religion you need desperately, you will appreciate America all the more when you study.

These were written long before John or Jesus were born, 1500yrs or so before Mohammed ...
I'll post a few hundred(s) more for you in days to come .

"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot ever really live at all or ever survive ...

"To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one's own in the midst of abundance.

"True stature is not created by form or ornament;
words spoken out of jealousy and greed oppose it.
Only when evil has been stopped at its roots, and when
there is wisdom without anger, is there true stature."

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.

"By the accident of fortune a man may rule the world for a time, but by virtue of love and kindness he may rule the world forever."

~Lao-Tse , 500bc

kind of fits exactly in with the spirit essence of what you just posted to me ? Sounds familiar ?

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

are you that blind to not see it ?

I would really hesitate to follow ones who couldn't see the world as it is , only as they wish to make it . It is very difficult to undo the kind of religious prejudice and teachings that you and elect are victims of ..and this zealoutry . You have memorized the passages , but have lost the spirit essentially to see what is , and always has been universal.

Taking some courses at your local JC will help...it is usually free in America. It is a great country and more than
a "little" knowledge ...is a good thing !

try it you'll like it ...and you are --->never too old !
