I wrote Creative SB a technical question regarding how I was unable to find which newest download I needed because two of the files in their instructions on how to do this were missing from my computer. This is what they told me: Response from Creative: 3/24/2003 9:15:23 PM Pat, Please start off by uninstalling anything that may show for the sound card in Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Then, go to your C: drive and into the Program Files folder, and there should be a Creative folder in here. Delete this. Then close out of everything and shut down the system. Move the sound card to another PCI slot and restart the computer. Cancel out of Windows trying to automatically redetect the sound card and instead disable completely any anti-virus software that may be on the system. Then, run the original installation CD and see if you can get the drivers and software to install any better than last time. If you wish to try the updates from our website after this, then you are welcome to. Let us know of the results and if you require any further assistance. Thank you for your time. I had to laugh! Are they for real? I think I will leave it alone and not download anything!
