Sorry, that was bad of me. It was actually Trent Lott, during the Kosovo campaign.

More quotes from the 'supportive Republicans rallying around the President':

DeLay:

Oh, and by the way, now we know that in fact thousands had been murdered by the Serbs. But, we knew it at the time, didn't we, and the Reps choose to disbelieve.

It goes to show that both sides play an immoral political game of politics. Shame on both sides.
