1) CBC radio had a piece the other morning about the man based in London who the US favour to take over in Iraq. Turns out he was convicted in absentia to over 20 years in jail in Jordan for fraud involving money stolen from deposts in the bank he headed. Some/most of this bunch will prove unacceptable to the locals - the CIA have been funding them with millions of dollars for years. 2) It occurs to me that most of the US troops including Franks have little or no experience of this type of warfare. A bunch of greenhorns really. 3) Sceptical of the stories of Basra uprising. May be true but much of the information so far has been disinformation
