Sometimes it should be ok to be rude to a crook.

Better to just expose them. No extreme (vulgar and otherwise) rudeness necessary to do so.

Instead they are coddled over there because they are polite.

It's up to you (collectively) to identify and point out crooks and take them to task. It's not the site's role to determine who is and isn't a crook. We don't figure out who's a crook and choose them for "coddling".

Fortunately for you, I don't really give a crap about the crooks running scams anymore.

There are still plenty of people taking care of that. And as has generally been the case on any site (SI included), they tend to play by the site's rules.

Most of our traffic, aside from one stock-specific board (IDCC) is in the general stock discussion area anyway. Zeev, AIM, etc.
