People tend to rise to their level of incompetence, so If GWB were to say to a lower subordinate, XXX, I want you to take care of this situation in Lebowegie or somewhere and his cure is worse than the problem we could have an "incident" Luckiliy, GWB was a businessman at one time and thus inclined to keep a close watch on all areas. With world unrest at such a high level , the next Presidential candidate, for the sake of our US reputation in outside areas appears to need inside connections and a familiarity with Federal Government workings of all types. Pehaps a long term Senator on many commitees, but that leads to too much pork and debts owed It appears there may still be important military considerations at next election, if Iran and N korea pursue their nuclear developments and the UN does not get their act together. The pace of World affairs is accelerating , so installing a new president who may require and entire year just to learn the ever-complicated Washington Political system plus our Foreign affairs policies is risky If GWB can get thru the next year without screwing something up really bad, he will be very tough to beat. &^$$$ that UN, where do they find those so called "representatives" and Committee head assignments. Nigeria? Dont they realize that instant action and decisions will sometime be needed and you cant wait 30 days for a term to expire ? The first errant nuke for example, or a release of WMD germs. A complete overhaul of the entire UN may be the greatest factor in future world peace and safety so GWB may have done a good thing by shaking them to the core. Regards Sig
