I am saying that the current strategy is to kill Saddam and the top leadership and then ask the loyalists to surrender in exchange for amnesty...and I am saying this strategy has a good chance of success, if we do it right. After this happens, we will take over various cities. If the people of those cities have not started revolting and killing the Ba'thies already, they will. There will be a few weeks (perhaps a few months) of calm...but the longer we stay, the more mistakes we will make on the cultural issues (or alternatively get ourselves in the middle of old feuds). And every one of them along with ample lies will be sold to a public who is already resentful of US and eventually guerilla warfare will ensue.
