It seemed to me that CB was happy to hear Iranians prevented an attack on US ships...it also seemed to me that you were ridiculing her. As I said today to someone else, everyday I find it necessary to take positions that go against my "feel good" side because I can't believe in them. Ridiculing someone who shared something in good nature is one of those things, even if it is CB ;). Personally I leave it for when rants and sarcasm run high :)

I like every Iranian I ever met probably because they are all expats who came here because here was better than there for whatever reason. Shah, Ayatollah, money, freedom, democracy, whatever. And when I started studying the region (admittedly after 9/11) everything I read about the Iranian people and their culture seemed good to me.

Leaving aside the matter of religion, which I really don't feel like getting into with you. My thoughts on this are known to the thread, where I have posted for many months.
