Dean is the anti-war candidate. During the war he gets support from anti-war Democrats. After the war, this will quickly dissipate. Kerry has taken the right stance on the war for a national election and will take New Hampshire by a good margin next year. If Bush starts another war, the majority of Americans will be against it and Kerry too. Enough will be enough. But right now our servicemen are in harm's way and it is the right thing to support them, even if you are critical of Bush's policies, and how we got there.
