No matter what one's views are on the war in Iraq, whether they think it is necessary or unnecessary, whether they think it is a political move by Bush or a defensive move to protect the safety of the US and rest of the World, whether there are other ways to deal with terrorism, doesn't change one thing. Our troops in the Middle East need everyone's support. These brave men and women have spouses, daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends at home. They want to do their job in Iraq and return home safely to be with them. Our troops need morale boosters, not morale busters. Regardless of one's opinion on the war, there's no question that the majority of the people in Iraq are being held hostage by criminal leaders and militia. We don't know if we will win the war on terrorism by winning the war in Iraq, but without question we will free the Iraqi people so that they can enjoy better lives and freedom. Our troops are putting their own lives on the line to give the people of Iraq their freedom. Our troops need our support. They don't need to hear things that might make them doubt why they are there. This is regardless of one's opinion about Bush or the war.

There's no question that people have divergent views on the war in Iraq and war in general. There are venues for discussing such opinions on the Internet. I would agree that it is acceptable to discuss the war to the extent that it might affect stocks. I don't think that anyone would find that objectionable. From day one, this thread was built on respecting each other and getting along with each other. Please, let's continue that by posting one's opinion's about the war on a thread that is dedicated to that discussion.

Thank you,

Dan

<not sit for any posts that suggest any negative bias against our troops>

If you've read that into my posts then I'm not writing them clearly enough.
