It is important to note that one of the most brutal regime of our time was Nazi Germany, with Christian roots. Any religion can be corrupted by evil men.

It is also somewhat ironic that Saddam calls on Muslims to defend Iraq. Most Muslim extremists actually hate Saddam for his secular ways. Remember, the Iraq/Iran war was viewed by many Muslims as a war of Islam vs a Western-style secular government.
