9:59 (Dow Jones) Salomon Smith Barney lifts its beta exposure to any
military-inspired trading rally by upgrading tech hardware/equipment and
downgrading retailing. Strategist Tobias Levkovich says investors appear to be
underweight tech while consumer discretionary valuations are attractive only in
limited areas. Says oil has already shed two-thirds of its likely decline, so
brings retailers down to market weight from overweight. Tech hardware goes to
market weight from underweight as capex trends are improving and could
accelerate and semis benefit from declining capacity growth. Adds SPX Corp.
