Why are you always so ready to defend the Israelis? They are by no means perfect.

Of course not. They aren't perfect- I don't like the Israeli gov't, but a reference to the term "zionazi" displays an obvious agenda, plus it's inaccurate. The Likud party is far from perfect, and I don't like seeing them in power, but a proper comparison would be to the Republicans, not the Nazis.

I am sorry, Z, but some of the ultra right of the Likud mimic facist thinking if not in actions, then in words. In the Likud, Sharon is considered almost middle of the road.

They're very hardnosed, nationalistic, security-minded, and hellbent on tax cuts, but they're far from evil. Sharon's depicted in the media as a horrible, horrible man, and he's not a great guy, but we've had guys in power in the U.S. who have been worse- Henry Kissinger, for instance.

That may be true but I think there is another problem. His obvious poor physical condition suggests that he is a chronic overbreather. People who overbreath chronically tend to have a lowered CO2 count in their bodies and that sets up a condition that causes paranoia. Its the same with Blair.....he uses an inhaler............another sign of overbreathing.

I wonder how many decisions made by leaders are influenced by chronic paranoia.
