If the world wants peace so badly, we'll work it out.

It is highly suspect to me when a so-called "proponent of peace" asks, "How much is it going to cost"?

It may just be more of my black-and-white perspective (which I believe to be an asset), but if a cause is righteous and we are financially able to fight for the cause (as we obviously are), why would the price matter?

The fact that certain groups of people are constantly asking "what is the price" on these weighty issues seems to call into question whether the questionner is a person of principle or one of opportunity...

Of much more importance is whether there is any potential for US to have an effect. That is a different matter. There isn't enough land to support both the Israelis and the Palestinians. As long as that is the case, there will be fighting. I think perhaps the best we can hope for is the wall alternative, which would set some limitations on further expansionism as well as to provide limited security for the Israelis against Palestinian terrorists.
