Provide COMFORT to Saddam? Why that's downright ungenerous. They should provide tons of anthrax to him, and help him in his career ambitions. Like the Reagan administration did. Doesn't it even bother anybody in 1983 when Rumsfeld was praising Saddam's regime for months AFTER American intelligence that they were gassing the Kurds? Yet the Reagan administration kept selling weapons of mass destruction to Saddam. Big Oil apologists like to say it was because we were fighting a worse enemy in Iran. But we were selling weapons to Iran too! Dave
