Maybe...but IMO the San Juan Islands are beautiful any month of the year! I know that "Summer" starts there after July 4th...and September can be one of the best months of the year to visit the San Juan Islands, IMO. For the most part, I agree. September is the best month to travel to most places... Tourists are all gone... children are back in school and weather (in most places) is mild with crisp mornings and cool afternoons... (in addition, it is a month of transition in seasons, particularly travelling to the southern hemisphere, where you are going into the spring/summer months) However.... as far as Rosario (in Orcas --I think--) goes, it opens up on April 1st -gggg
