We can only hope Scotts predictions are as bad as his inspecting talents. It is quit possible, that we will do as we did in Afghanistan, and bring in part of those 70000 kurd forces, and tell the Iraqis to surrender or we will let the Kurds take revenge.

I don't think Ritter is right that we will lose the war, at least I hope not........but its clear the Iraqis do not see us as the Great White Hope. Some are claiming that the Iraqis are afraid to revolt because we failed them before but I think its more complicated than that.

And I still worry about the possibility of urban warfare. There will be hell to pay if we have to fight from street to street like the Russians did in Chechnya.

Meanwhile the news is reporting that 70 Iraqi armor vehicles and tanks have left Basra and are heading south. Why South? Just looked at a map.....I guess they are moving towards the port of Umm Qasr.
