No, this is a result of the rash of home schooling in this country. We now have a lot of self-made individuals, but they left out some of the working parts.

There's always an element of zealots in politics and war.
Nazi Germany counted on that fact to create the brownshirts. If the PNAC crew isn't "contained" I would not be very surprised if the US sees something similar coming out of their efforts to stir up zealotry seen in the use of administration connected media outlets to recruit and organize "pro-war" demonstrations.
