Actually, it is a lot simpler than that. Adults can see the world with all its complexity and interwoven dependencies. Adolescents have an over simplified view of the world and believe everything adults tell them (there is good psychological research on this)...examples of adolescent views are, they want to kill us because: - they are evil - they are jealous of us - they don't like that we make good products - the don't want to be free etc. etc...and of course, yes many of the Palestinians are childish to say the least, but no more so than many of the gung-ho Americans I run into (less in NYC more as I get away).
