After reflecting a bit, an effective adult will tell himself "They why and wherefores don't really matter, I've got to stop those children before they cause some real damage."

Really?! Would you trust a doctor who'd prescribe the cure before really understanding the disease? Who'd show no interest in figuring out how to develop a vaccine but only to amputate the rotting body part? Who'd send you away with an aspirin, without figuring out if your headache is due to a tumor?

I think some of us are more choosy about our doctors. We choose them not based on what drugs they prescribe, but based on how well they understand the cause of the disease.
