Soros, That Cindy was funny. First, equating education with intelligence. I don't think anyone wants our country to be run by the faculties of the Little Eleven colleges, but they have infinitely better educational credentials than this administration. Or any other administration. And we all know that education and intelligence don't necessarily correlate. And we also know that certain students get through school based upon their parents' status rather than their brains, and some of them probably have Dubya as a middle initial.

BTW, so far, only the conservatives have run and elected an "airhead" actor to the highest office in the land. Liberals aren't that crazy. <g>

It's really comes down to the fact that hard-core conservatives and liberals really hate the concept of free speech and Tommy Jefferson had to write up a special list of amendments to add some important items that were left out of the Constitution. They don't care much for freedom of the press, either. Is there any side that doesn't blame our failures on the media? Many do like the Second Amendment, though, and, as an owner of 100 guns, I applaud them for being on my side.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not planning to take political advice from The Dixie Chicks or Chuck Heston or Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin or Arnold Schwarzeneggar, or, in an earlier age, from Ronald Reagan. But one of the reasons we have a military is to protect their right to say what they please. So, even Cindy has a right to her opinion. Now, we have the right to make fun of it without digging up her educational credentials. An opinion stands or falls on its own merits, not on the background of the speaker.
