He never linked tax cuts to the (phony) surplus.

When Bush told us about all those budget surpluses justifying a big tax cut, I knew he was wrong and sure enough, he was wrong.

You knew he was wrong? You didn't even understand the argument.

Yes, the tax cuts for the rich have to go with these deficits. Just common sense. Tax cuts for the middleclass are another story as they stimulate the economy directly. Percolate up works faster and better than trickle down.

You are no "realist," Kenny. Bush is not the greatest of our presidents, but he is certainly not as bankrupt as the worst of them. Yet you rejoice at every alleged misfortune, as if those misfortunes prove Bush is the antichrist himself. You long to see the downfall of your own leader, even if it means your entire country must suffer. Bush has done nothing to warrant such self-destruction and self-loathing. A realist would not do any of what you do, Kenny. You are no realist. You are something far worse. You sound old, Kenny. Near death. Bitter and hopeless.

and to think ALL of this could have been avoided if Clinton had only taken bin Laden instead of opting for lying to the country.
