It was a scanner used to digitize large flat-pattern templates. After a few years of development, along with the requisite patent apps, the very first one was sold to a japanese university engineering school. Less than 2 years later... -g- Boeing bought the 2nd.

I question the longevity of the WTO, especially if this administration gets re-elected. Even deeper questions attend the lifespans of NATO and the EU. NATO has been "dead man walking" for 12 years, and the countries of the EU have far too much history for union to last. All imo.

If Huawei can undercut Cisco by a substantial amount for virtually the same product, they won't have any marketing problems anywhere in the world, including in the US and EU. Money talks.
