Which is exactly why the WB water isn't as important as you seem to think. There are other sources, desalination, and according to Z, water from Lebanon and Turkey.

Water rights, over the next 15-20 years, will be a HUGE issue in the region -- likely making the current Palestinian conflict look like a neighborhood brawl. Egypt & Sudan, Turkey & Iran, as well as the Jordan River Basin.

This is a huge issue that is going to cause problems in this region for years to come (if you think fighting over religion can get ugly, fighting over water is worse).

No, actually, just the opposite. It's so important, and would be such a MAJOR issue, that Israel wouldn't dare touch it until this is all sorted out.

Ted Re...You do know that Israel is short of water; so short that it it is dependent on the expensive method of desalinization of ocean water for a portion of its supply of non potable water. In fact, Israel is the world's leading expert on the desalinization method.

If the Israelis have a choice between free or pay, which one do you think they will opt for?
