No, the media is more designed to make people scared and then swallow pills, which is why that's all you see for sale during the news. If you don't think that the general public would feel better if there were less war coverage every day, you're in a dream world. Same war, less coverage, everyone feels better.

The mainstream television media are not dupes for Saddam, they are not dupes at all. They all know exactly what they are doing, and they all know why they are doing it. You don't, but they do. That's one reason why you're ignorant. Television can be divided into three simple categories, sports, cartoons and cartoon-like shows, and crime analysis, with crime analysis prevailing.

The overall idea is to make the viewer feel constantly threatened and unsafe, then to offer some pills of some sort to calm him down and make him less uppity. You don't see it, I do. If that makes me ignorant and disturbed and you OK, that's fine with me. Knock yourself out, fool. What prescriptions are you on right now, anyway?

Did you see CNN this morning where they interviewed the mother of a GI in Iraq? She's an anti-war protester.

Explain to me the logic of that interview, as opposed to anything else CNN could have put on the screen, and then tell me I'm disturbed again.
