McCaffrey, Schwartkopf, and one other. They think that Franks should wait til the 4th division gets there so there are enough men on the ground. Even then, they are concerned.

Once again, you're making stuff up. I've heard both of these guys talk -- practically every time they've been on in the last couple of weeks, and neither has said anything of the sort.

In fact, Schwartzkopf has said precisely the opposite.

Ted, I just listened to Col. David Hackworth interviewed on the Mike Reagan talk show. He too thinks that the military leaders jumped the gun and pushed forward without enough forces. He also said that if he were in charge, he'd fire Rumsfeld.

I'm beginning to agree with Hack. However, I still don't think this is a recent trend. Like I said, I think the trend started around the time of Clinton. Probably the last brilliant military commanders we had were Stormin' Norman and Colin Powell back in 1991. Ever since then we've had no one but lightweights in charge.
