Mike, not everyone is assigned to the front line in a war. Gore at least served in Viet Nam. Bush stayed home, where it was surely a lot safer, and the climate was nicer. But the real question remains whether Bush is mentally suitable for the job of President. Judging by his inability to work with other countries (he's antagonized even his closest ally Britain), and his unwillingness to look at better, less costly alternatives than war, I say reluctantly that he is UNFIT for the job.

And I'm equally worried that his highest ranking assistants are also unfit either because of gross conflicts of interest (Cheney, Pearle) or lack of training and experience in Middle East issues (Rice).

If Clinton had selected advisors with similar bias and conflicts of interest, he would have been impeached, tried and found guilty by the Senate in a minute.

You will lose that argument. The deeper you look into Bush's military past, the shakier it gets. All of these guys shirked their duties.
