"Meanwhile, US & UK missiles killed 15 and badly injured 30 people in a market place in Baghdad yesterday. Maybe you did not hear about it, because the "embedded" journalists did not think to mention it. It happened, though."

It's on the front page of every daily newspaper in North America.

Less well reported is the rounding up of young kurds by Iraqi soldiers, hmmm, wonder what hole we'll find them buried in after the war.

Also less well reported in the arab media is Iraqi shelling of its own people in Basra and elsewhere.

Zonder, do you know is there any commentary in the Arab media about Iraqi soldiers using hospitals and civilians a cover. Also, any commentary on the white flag strategy Iraqi soldiers are employing, you know the one, where they pretend to surrender. Isn't that a play on making it more risky for those people truly interested in surrendering?

The article didn't say anything about casualties, so we don't know if or how many may have been killed or wounded.

Re. the marketplace in Baghdad, it actually isn't known whether that was ours or an Iraqi SAM falling back.
