US policy toward turkey is very important. We need to continue to be friendly and recognize this is a new govt who faced a 90% anti war population. Some have already started blaming them for american casualties. This is bad policy for us to pursue. We should be trying to use the EU anti-turk sentiment for our long term interests in having Turkey, a democractic iran and israel as bulwarks against mideast terror. Jacob suggested israel become the 51st state, perhaps turkey as 52. Just kidding for both as states. mike
