Al-Jazeera booted from the NAZ too

NEW YORK — Al-Jazeera is no longer welcome at the Nasdaq Stock Market, a decision that parallels a similar move by the New York Stock Exchange after the Arab network’s decision to air footage of American prisoners of war and dead in Iraq.

The Nasdaq declined today to say why it turned down a request from Al-Jazeera to broadcast from its midtown Manhattan operations, although spokesman Scott Peterson told the Los Angeles Times that "in light of Al Jazeera’s recent conduct during the war, in which they have broadcast footage of U.S. POWs in alleged violation of the Geneva Convention, they are not welcome to broadcast from our facility at this time."
