My understanding of why Mexico didn't support us was because Fox is in trouble in his country.. He and Bush were great at the beginning. Bush was ready to give the thousands of illegal Mexicans amnesty in the states... Then we had 9/11 and no way could he ever get something like that approved through congress.. Fox is now between a rock and hard place as he hasn't been able to improve on conditions in Mexico economy and this has not helped. He didn't go along with the Iraq position to protect his own turf... sound familiar
