Other reporters in Baghdad report anti-aircraft fire. Maybe Andrew Gilligan is deaf. Or BBC isn't so reliable.

But the BBC's Andrew Gilligan in Baghdad says that explanation is "unlikely because we simply haven't heard any anti-aircraft fire in the city for the past four days".
news.bbc.co.uk;

His claim is contradicted by other reporters. Here are a couple examples:

"Another 10 blasts hit Baghdad early on Thursday and anti-aircraft fire could be heard over the Iraqi capital which has been battered ...."
asia.reuters.com (March 26)

"At one point, this correspondent was briefly deafened by the roar of a surface-to-air missile being launched nearby."
