Sorry for not being clear, it was that if the opening gap exceeded 50% of the prior day's high-low the market tended to move in the direction of that gap. Today it was Minus 7.25 which exceeded 50% of yesterday's high-low (which I computed as 5.75) using regular trading hours only. Now this does not work all of the time but the reliability has been pretty good. I have not back tested it but GrillSgt had some figures that he published ealier. Today on ES it yielded approximately 4 pts. if you got all of it from the opening to the low at 10:00 am. - George
