Alan - Christ only said He knew not the "day or the hour" He did not say that it would be longer than 40 years. In Fact He said it would happen within the lifetime of "some" of His disciples. Jesus said this about the "day and hour" Matthew 24:20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath: In other words - "thier flight" the one to whom Christ was speaking real men who actually heard Him and did pray. That the "day and hour" would not occur in winter or on the sabbath. That does not justify a 2000 year 'delay' Alan In fact - a 2000 year delay makes Christ a liar. Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Is Christ a liar or are futurists? Alan what does VERILY mean to you?
