Joe, I am not convinced that Saddam is alive either, but we have to operate on the assumption that he is alive. Agreed. If we were to state that we thought he was dead it would be a good way to end up with a propaganda nightmare were he to actually be alive. I still think he is dead or critically wounded. We'll find out soon enough though. Heck, if I were one of his top generals and I were already guilty of war crimes, I'd probably finish off Saddam myself and try to make the best of my short-term dictatorship by fighting off the ones who would eventually hang me...
