J.T. ... my DX and SP puts, and gold calls are all way out-of-the money and not very liquid, so I buy them to hold for the right positive moment or I ride them into the ground ... using stops on them is useless. ... this is not the way I handled indexed options when I did so well in 2000 and 2001 with in-the-money SP puts, but some of those options cost $18,000 to $24,000 each if I remember correctly, although I tripled on many of them ... ... conditions are different today ... I am VERY bearish for the next 2 years plus, but for the next 6 to 9 months, I am being more cautious ... ... I did sell 2 June DX contracts today, and yes, I am definitely using buy stops for those ... ... looking for an opportunity to short the ND soon ... ... also went back to a 20,000 share position with VLNC ... after their new deal was announced with HP/Compaq yesterday, I am back to thinking they will be winners long-term ... ... also holding NEM long-term ... a small position in ABMD, and the rest cash ... ... I am out of TNTX completely ... ... I would like very much for you to explain in detail how you are so bullish except for maybe the next few months ... based on the macroeconomic scenario, there is almost no question in my mind that we will suffer a serious recession or depression in the next 2 years before we start a new secular bull ... every rally until then is to sell for people that are trading stocks ...
