I live and work in a very large center where we totally depend on the USA for trade. It would not surprise me to see our neighbours use this against us some day.If we as Canadians could have a referendum on 2 issues I would say they would pass by a 70-30 count.Issue one would be to join the USA on this Iraq issue and number two would be to force Mr.Chretien to resign. The whole liberal party should hang its heads in shame.

Didja notice how stern Bush was a the press conference this morning? His anger was right under the surface. NYT

[W] ASHINGTON, March 27 ? With a new intensity of anger and determination, President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair of Britain pledged again today that the regime of Saddam Hussein will be destroyed, no matter how long it takes.

"Slowly but surely, the grip of terror around the throats of the Iraqi people is being loosened," Mr. Bush said as he and the Prime Minister held a briefing at Camp David, Md. He said the war would be prosecuted "however long it takes to win . . . however long it takes."

" The tide is beginning to turn, I believe. "

Not at all.

The tide you see is one where Canadians are sympathetic towards the troops of our allies.

This same sympathy is being used by the pro - war polsters to suggest the " war " is gaining popularity.

T'ani't so,and it is dishonest of them to suggest it.

You can support the troops without changing your position on the so called " war " itself in principle. Many wish it never started, but now that is has, they wish them well.
