I think we will win the war, but there will be negative surprises along the way which will send the market sharply down... also imo we will see negative surprises on the economy: GDP for 2003 Q1 will be lucky to exceed 0.5, and subsequent 2 quarters will probably be challenging as well.

Market-wise, good money can be made on volatility and emotions, but I don't have time to watch it by the hour now. I'll see what the earnings reports and conference calls say in April, then re-evaluate... Wrt trading, so far I've been only playing with "hand-picked" stocks and their options: CREE, QCOM, INVN, GG, and sometimes SIL, trying to get 3-5% a month with 5-10 trades a month.
