Ted, You lived through WWI? I didn't realize that......when did you emigrate to the States? No I didn't, but my grandparents did, and my mom was a child. But I lived in the same house (well there were some upgrades). We actually had some bullet holes in our house. When the Russians came, they sprayed the streets with machine gun fire, just to show who the new boss is (the Germans were long gone). But I didn't hear of anyone getting killed or wounded, since everybody was hiding when the Russians were coming. They were known as an army of rapists and thieves. My grandfather was especially worried about my mom since 13 year olds were a fair game for the Russians. Joe
