Memories will do that sometimes, won't they -g- ... irony - 'a figure of speech in which the words express a meaning that is often the direct opposite of their intended meaning, but which sometimes misses and does a three sixty, or in the case of political threads, a downward spiral' Really i think we're a fairly mature community on the resource threads of SI and ihub, compared to other sectors and other forums .... mentioning no names of the latter .... sure there is gullibility and false hope, there are also good things missed, but all in all i see hope for the tribe, plenty of awareness of the risks and pitfalls, the crap that goes on ..... of course there is only so much i notice, having long since learned to scan quickly until coming on posters whose judgment i more respect on a topic, since there is a limit of time one can spend reading .... so in skipping over stuff, it's like careful selection of shiney bits for the grab sample bag, maybe, sure, not a representative sample ...... but still, i don't see it overall being so dumb, if i did i wouldn't make the time to be here
