just to follow up, as I left it, BDN had not yet risen enough to make its dividend. well today it made it, right at the close - and tomorrow is ex-div for this stock. this is important for me, because it now means that all the stocks I have traded (and some I haven't) have made their dividend before ex-div (as measured by my entry point). right now I am working on MCGC (almost there,) SFI (just beginning), and DNY (ooops, looking like this may be my first failure, one thing I noted is that I was careless and did not realize that the ex-div is about a month off -this certainly dulls the "dividend as news" aspect if nothing else)
