Very well put - completely contrary to the principles of the journalistic profession, however. I have been back in the US for a week soaking up all the media coverage. Looks like consumer-friendly entertainment has replaced the news world for now, maybe for good.

Who has the popcorn? Time for a show.

I somehow don't believe that most of these war demonstrators realize what their actions are really saying.

They are in essence saying with their protest that: The hell with the Iraqi people. It's ok for Saddam and his regime to gouge the eyes out and torture children, rape wives and daughters and to kill innocent people. But it's not ok for us to stop it.

If they saw a child being abused or mutilated, would they try to stop it? If their wife or daughter was being raped, would they try to stop it? Or would they say no I don't believe using violence to stop it is the answer. I doubt it.

They have become unwitting hypocrites.
