The RG forces are being degraded by our airpower....makes sense to do that prior to engaging directly with our troops....its good planning.....also gives our guys a chance to rearm, resupply and repair after the long dash they just made from Kuwait to the outskirts of Baghdad.... You are sounding particularly clueless this AM.

Three things worry me about the war: no Iraqi uprisings, no WMD or illegal missiles used yet (saving them or does he have them?) and the fact we need 100,000 more troops this soon which means Tommy Franks knows we'll need them. Bushies should start admitting that boy oh boy would it be better if we had Turkish, Russian, German and even French support. But Bush send 200,000 men to Kuwait and set this timeline mainly based on weather conditions. Bush put himself in a corner where we had to invade. I sure hope we're successful but I'm feeling a certain amount of dread right now, as if the worst is coming soon. And/or that this could take a long time and be very messy. I'm also worried about the cost. 75 billion is just the downpayment, and our budget cannot afford 150-200 billion. That means tons of critical domestic programs will have to be cut benefitting the people who need it most, including wounded veterans.
