I suspect its pretty safe to guess that many countries have supplied Iraq with weapons (both acceptable and banned) during the UN ban. I don't think its a stretch to think that Russia may have done this. Whether it pans out to be true we may never know but it wouldn't surprise me. We did, after all, do the same thing to them when they were fighting Afghanistan. Does that prove anything? No. Would such an exchange be out of the question though? No. We might get lucky and find out the truth after this is over but I don't count on it. I do believe that we will find that countries did sell them banned weapons and parts though. Of that I'm almost 100% sure
