the people committing these acts aren't a desperate people, but a bunch of power hungry thugs with an anarchist agenda That just goes to show your rather weak understanding of the ME, its people, and its traditions. One of which happen to be the blood feud, where families pop men on each sides generations after one man has killed another... I suggest you take a plane and visit the region, stay a while among its people and learn a bit about how their thinking differs from yours before you risk the future of your descendants on such judgements. Or maybe you should just suffer the consequences of your administrations' nearsighted policies. I will be a little sorry for you, since I am sure you do not mean to cause this on yourself, but hey, not that I care that much...
